When in Paris.

Can't believe I was in Paris!!!! And I am going back again during my summer break, because I haven't used the museum pass that I have gotten (didn't have enough time during the last trip.)

To everyone who hasn't been to Paris, it is indeed a very pretty place, I loved it, especially when you're living close to London and Paris is just two hour train ride from London, you wouldn't mind heading to Paris just for the weekend. However, it is also a very.. how should I put this in a proper sentence? You have to keep an eye on your own belongings ALL THE TIME. There are a lot of pickpockets around (basically there are pickpockets in every country near the tourist attractions), but I should warn you that some pickpockets are not ordinary ones - they recognise tourists (well because we have bags and cameras and dress abit different LOL), and they will FOLLOW you until your hotel, until you get off their sight. Some cut your bags in the crowd when you're not aware, and in that split second they take everything valuable off your bag.

But thank God, we were very alert.

Anyway, first day spent in Paris was alright. It was freaking cold, chill down the spine cold especially when it's raining. But that didn't stop us from moving. We bought a three day metro pass (Zone 1-3) for us to roam around.

As soon as we settled in our hotel and got dressed, we headed to the city centre for tea. Angelina Café is something I heard of for a very long time so we decided to pay a visit.

@ Angelina Cafe, there was a long queue at the door but thankfully the queue moved pretty fast.

Their macarons are high quality I would say, but I am never a fan of macarons so I couldn't taste the good in it. But I guess they're pretty good for people who can appreciate them.

Their signature dessert is The Mont Blanc, but it's finished when we got there. It looks like the picture below, but it didn't attract me because of the chestnut cream. I felt like it would taste weird. Got offered another choice which was the one in the picture above - Choc African, and I loved it. Gave it a 9/10! Also, their hot chocolate is also their signature. But it was really thick that it tasted like a melted bar of chocolate, yeah that thick.. and I gave it 4/10.

After that, we headed towards the Eiffel Tower but the sky was already getting dark.

One spot that gives you a good view of the Eiffel Tower - around The Inception Bridge.

The Inception Bridge.

There were people shooting wedding photos around :')

I was really craving for some good vietnamese food, so we headed to Pho 14, which is recommended by Time Out (click).

Super satisfying and good Pho, 9/10.

We were ready to spend the second day in Disneyland!! So ready, but the weather didn't let us. It was raining so heavily, heaviest possible among the days of our trip. Stopped by Eric Kayser for their really good pastries. Because when you're in Paris, you gotta try their Pain au Chocolat and Baguette.

This is what a Pain au Chocolat looks like, it has chocolate filling!

Rainy mornings are better with good breakfast.

@ Paris Disneyland, the weather sucked so bad. Oh well, and a fun fact about me, I do not fancy roller coaster rides because I'm afraid of height, and when height comes with speed, no thanks. I am more of a chill rides kind of person ha ha ha.

I got a few of 'em back with me, happy happy.

THIS IS MY KIND OF RIDE YEAH

Soaking wet and bad hair T_T

Am I a Jedi Master yet?

This kind of view is what I live for. I love fireworks, a lot.

Moving on to Day 3, which was the day when we left Paris for Barcelona. And of course before leaving, we visited Arc de Triomphe, Musee du Louvre and Trocadero Gardens.

Second spot where you can get the best view of the Eiffel Tower - Trocadero Square.

Baguette in Paris.

View from Trocadero Square.

Can't wait to visit again in a few weeks time.
