When in Italy.

Our first stop in Italy was Venice. Every picture turns out to be really good, I'm so in love with every picture from Venice. When we landed at the airport in Venice, we had to take the water taxi to get to Venice Island, where we really wanted to go. We stayed in San Marco, which is one of the main and busiest towns in Venice. Really liked there, and from there you could get an all day travel pass for 20EUR, then hop on to the boats which functions like underground in London, except these are on water. You can stop at any stop you wish, and then go around the whole day with that travel pass.

Boats and Canal Boats are different in Venice LOL. The ones with people rowing are Canal Boats, which costs about 80-100EUR per trip. And the one we took to travel around are just usual boats, more of like mini ferries.

@ St. Mark's Square, which is also in San Marco.

I realised I accidentally sat on bird poop after this picture FML

Rialto Bridge was closed for renovation when we were there, so we went up on another bridge instead.. can't really remember the name but it was like a few stops after Rialto Bridge.

Why am I frowning???

The gelato looks like shit, but tasted good. IT MELTED TOO FAST haiz

We stumbled upon this family restaurant, which I can't remember the name.. I regret for not remembering I truly regret, I went through all my photos and there's no sign of it. NO SIGN.

I regret so bad because this restaurant is super good, from their main course to dessert everything is just PERFECT.

It's all about pizza and pasta in Italy!

Squid ink pasta, I'd been craving since foreverrrrr! Happy tummy.

Last but not least, how could you possibly miss out on tiramisu when you're in Italy?
Especially when it is my favourite.

I had like so many tiramisu I lost count.

Venice is a really photogenic place, I swear you can just shoot from any angle and the picture will turn out really good. I wouldn't say I would go back to Venice in a short time, but I'd definitely want to bring my family here. And during this trip I did a really stupid thing, like really stupid. I got all my pasta that I wanted to bring home from Venice, when I still have a few more destinations to go before heading back. And my last destination of this trip was Rome, I could've gotten all of them in Rome rather than carrying a big bag of pasta everywhere I went T_____T

Ok good things in life come free to us, so do worst things.

Our luck wasn't very good this time around, when we got to the airport we were stopped from boarding because we had a backpack and a hand luggage (easyjet only allows ONE bag each person to carry on board, unless they don't check.) But unfortunately, they did. So we were struggling to put ALL of our stuffs into our hand luggage, struggling so bad that we were like sweating and all. After we were done, we took a breath and headed to the boarding area, only to find out that we had both boarding passes under the same name, which was my name. And of course, they had to cancel us and could not let us board due to security reasons.

We missed our flight to the next destination, Naples.

We miserably took the other option, which was the train that costed a bomb. No joke, the train ticket was crazy expensive but we were left with no choice. Bought the train ticket, and off we went!

When we arrived at Naples, it was already off schedule. We basically wasted the morning and noon because it was so tough to get to Positano, the coastal area. It took about 2 hour train ride from the city centre to reach the coast, aw man.

However, I loved our stay! Really stunning view.

We only got to explore Positano during the evening, but it was okay. It was worth it. Many coastal areas in Italy are worth visiting, I have yet to find out all of them but I have already got a few on my check list. Gonna make Cinque Terre the next island I would visit in Italy!

We actually headed to Athens and Santorini before Rome, but I kinda want to blog all on Italy in one post. So yeah, our last destination of spring trip — Rome.

@ Colosseum, we bought our entry passes online as well to skip the queue.

@ Trevi Fountain

This place is forever busy, one of the locals told us that even if you visit this fountain after you are done with clubbing, you will still see a crowed surrounding this place.

Rome is a really interesting place, there are so many historical sites that are yet to be visited by us. Will definitely come back to Rome for sure!
