I have been to Taiwan a couple of times, and I still think Taipei is one of my favourite cities. Just gonna write on the highlights of my trip to Taiwan this time.
Highlight #1:
Finally, after forever I swear, I finally made my way to Milkglider Latteartist Unity in Songshan District. And it is now one of my favourite experience in life. I look up to so many latte artists all around the world, mostly from the States, Taiwan and Korea because they make latte art look so effortless. I worked as a barista once, and trust me when I say it is quite difficult to even come up with a perfect Rosetta. I honestly want to continue learning latte art when I get the chance to. Oh, back to Milkglider Latteartist Unity, I watched one of the lead barista - Shawn pour a few cups of latte art at the counter. I even (shamelessly) asked if I could record the processes and fortunately, he said yes. I will be back for the coffee and the latte art, wait for me Taiwan.
** this part is specially requested by Ross: so basically an old Chinese man complimented him saying he's handsome @ Sun Moon Lake and gave him tea. But the main point is, Ross is handsome.
(daily dose of bubble milk tea, how i miss those times)
Highlight #2:
It was my first time traveling to Taiwan with my friends. Well, odd to say but I've only grown closer to Ross & Adrian after this trip. But it was definitely one of the most memorable trips in summer. And I know we will travel again together real soon, I just know.
Highlight #3
First time trying Sunny Hills pineapple tarts. All I can say is that the tarts were worth the price and the queue. (They even offer free taster with a cup of tea, very refreshing under the heat!)
Highlight #4
On one of the days, we met Ross' friends for dinner. After dinner, she brought us to 8%ice (a store that sells really good softserve). I had soy milk and black sesame flavours, and we even got a taste of their signature matcha ice cream. They were really nice, highly recommended!
Highlight #5
My
FIRST time trying the local Din Tai Fung. And also the cube steak!! (everyone needs to try this when they are in Taiwan's food market). Plus, I got to eat all the taiwanese food that I have been longing for. You have no idea how satisfied I was.
@ TAIPEI 101
A very quiet and cozy cafe which has the best hot chocolate in town.
Highlight #6
The Ma La Hotpot Story - only we know about it and that's that.
See you again, Taiwan.
